Lonely & Lack of Attention??

Blogs have been a channel of lashing out; indirect complains and criticism-walling is unbecoming on Facebook. Why is the media dominated by negativity? Can no good come from social media. Are all these the only channels to voice out our silent loneliness?

Deep in our heart of hearts, we want to be heard, cared for, even having a shoulder to lean on in frustrating moments. Sometimes, our nights go by without anyone knowing we struggle so hard in our work that our soul had stop existing and everything is just on auto-pilot. An empty vessel going through the motions. We are so engrossed in the Enemies lies that no one can understand us and nobody cares. Helplessly, internet and social media became our best friend, awaiting digital replies as substitution to human warmth.

No one understands loneliness better than Jesus Christ, Himself. At Gethsemane (Mark 14), knowing Death awaits, he ask the disciples to keep watch with him but temptation of sleepiness took the better of them. All the way to the cross, He has no one to sympathise with, he knew it and has been told to Peter that "where I'm going, you cannot follow now". What's more? At the cross, God turned His face away from Jesus, who was bearing all our sins. In loneliness, isolation from the Father Himself was the greatest pain the "Perfect Man - Jesus" could bear. He cried "Father, Father, why have You forsaken me". The never-before-broken relationship of the Father and Son, has happened, brief as it may(3 days). We could have never understood that agony.

Victory over sins has granted us power to be in a satisfying relationship. But to some point, we realise deep down that reading blogs and Facebook comments and posts have unintentionally shaped our point of view and perception. Lies has been repeated and taken in without much rumination.Worst still, it's been adopted as truth.

We need the Word of God, like a banner flying across the land, being proclaimed and spread truths that can quench our thirst that Blogs, Facebook or other social media cant. Lets run to Jesus, who offers comfort to those who needs it, trusting that He can provide.

I have been guilty too, by not standing up... Here I want to Blog for Christ, not about my petty needs but the NEED of the Word to be heard...
